Missouri Man Sentenced to 50 Years in Prison for Kidnapping, Murder of Osage Nation Woman
The last of nine defendants in the kidnapping and murder of an Osage Nation woman learns his fate. 30-year-old Tre Robert Allen Ackerson of Webb City, Missouri, was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison on Friday for his part in the kidnapping and murder of 35-year-old Jolene Walker Campbell in July 2020. The victim’s body was found in a remote field in Mayes County. The investigation showed that Jolene was robbed and kidnapped in Missouri and driven into the State of Oklahoma, where she was murdered by Ackerson.

A McDonald County man is taken to the hospital following a large explosion
McDonald County, MO – McDonald County First Responders rush a person to the hospital after an explosion Saturday morning. County deputies were in talks with a possible suicide subject when the explosion happened. First responders could gain access and remove the victim from the building. The victim was transported via helicopter to a hospital and the McDonald County deputy was also treated at the hospital he has since been discharged.
