Well, no fewer than 11 Perry County sandlot players may have felt just like Gilligan as they were left stranded on the bases in a close 5-3 loss to Enola in New Bloomfield July 11 in East Shore Twilight League play.

Joshua Kauffman, a recent graduate of Susquenita High School, has brought national recognition to Perry County by winning the prestigious 2024 Abu Garcia High School Fishing National Championship, which was held June 19-21 at Lake Hartwell in Anderson, S.C.
