Ansonia Schedules Public Hearing To Dissolve WPCA Board, Publishes “Transition Plan” For Aquarion Sale
ANSONIA – The Ansonia Board of Aldermen has scheduled a public hearing at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday (July 24) to dissolve the city’s Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA). The proposal includes the repeal of a city ordinance establishing the WPCA, and the passage of a replacement ordinance which grants the Board of Aldermen all the powers and responsibilities the WPCA previously held. SEYMOUR – Seymour Deputy Police Chief Roberto Rinaldi recently hung up his badge after serving more than three decades in law enforcement. Rinaldi, 59, retired from the Seymour Police Department on June 30. He worked in Seymour for 25 years, starting out as a patrolman and climbing his way up the ranks to sergeant, commander, acting lieutenant and ultimately second in command, a position he’s held since 2018.
