    2 People injured after early morning shootings in New Haven

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Two people were injured Saturday night in New Haven following two separate shootings, according to New Haven Police.

    The first shooting was reported at 12:42 a.m. on Quinnipiac Avenue. Minutes after the shooting was reported a shooting victim arrived at the York Street site of Yale-New Haven Hospital.

    The victim was a 47-year-old New Haven resident who was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle. Their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

    At 3:00 a.m., NHPD responded to the St. Raphael’s campus of Yale New Haven Hospital for another walk-in gunshot victim. This victim was a 34-year-old New Haven resident whose injuries were also non-life-threatening.

    Ballistic evidence was found at the scene of both shootings. There is no apparent link between the two crimes at this time.
