Nelson County woman charged with vehicular homicide after Louisville man dies in crash, police say
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 52-year-old Louisville man died in a crash on Sunday in Spencer County, according to Kentucky State Police. KSP responded to a fatal crash on U.S. 150 and Old Louisville Road around 5:12 p.m. Police said a 2015 GMC Acadia driven by Laurie Hahn, 49, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 150. James Foster was riding a motorcycle westbound when the GMC Acadia crossed the center line and collided with the motorcycle.
Lydian arrested in Saturday shooting
Joseph Lydian is charged with attempted murder and first-degree wanton endangerment following a Saturday afternoon shooting on Boston Road. Nelson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a verbal dispute in the 5200 block of Boston Road around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. While en route to the call, deputies were advised shots had been fired. When arriving on the scene, Ashe Lydian of Bardstown, 41, was found shot. In a press release from the NCSO, they said deputies performed life-saving measures on Ashe. The 41-year-old was transported to the University of Louisville hospital via helicopter.

Early on July 20, 2024, at approximately 1:45 AM, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky responded to a serious accident near the 32-mile marker on the eastbound side of the Bluegrass Parkway. Dispatch informed deputies en route that a vehicle had struck a tree and was on fire.
A Kentucky Man Is Charged With A Hate Crime For Pulling A Gun On A Palestinian American
On Monday, a federal hate crime charge was filed against a Kentucky man who had brandished a loaded gun at a Palestinian American in a restaurant back in March. According to a statement from the Justice Department, Melvin Litteral III has been accused of threatening a Palestinian American man who was also a practicing Muslim while they were both at a local restaurant on March 28. An indictment was unsealed on Monday regarding this incident.
