NFL player Cornelius Lucas to host swim camp in Jefferson Parish

ELMWOOD, La. ( WGNO ) — NFL player and New Orleans native Cornelius Lucas is hosting the second annual Laps with Luc swim camp.

In partnership with Son of a Saint, event organizers say the focus of the camp is to teach young boys how to swim.

Lucas says that learning how to swim is personal for him, and he wants young boys to have access to learning proper swimming techniques.

The camp will take place at the Ochsner Performance Center at 1200 South Clearview Parkway.

The first day of camp starts Thursday, June 27, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The last day of camp will be on Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
