Rashid Shaheed: A Boom Or Bust Option For Fantasy

Rashid Shaheed was one of the surprise fantasy players who really impressed for the Saints. Shaheed had been targeted a total of 75 times and made 46 receptions for 719 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Shaheed is likely to get an increase in targets this upcoming season thanks to Michael Thomas’s departure/fall from grace and the Saints' lack of depth at wide receiver. He won't surpass Chris Olave in the depth unless an injury or an off-the-field incident occurs.

Shaheed has a great ceiling with growth and opportunity, which he showcased in Weeks 1, 6, 8, 16, and 18. These are the 5 weeks that he finished as a WR1 or 2; the rest of the time, he failed to finish higher than WR44. He has a high ceiling and a low floor on a team that needs secondary weapons; after Olave and Kamara, there really isn't a proven one on the roster.

He is a must-draft at his value in both PPR and non-PPR fantasy leagues. He is definitely worthy of being drafted in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

Our consensus projections for Shaheed in the 2024 season would be 51 receptions, 695 yards, and 4 touchdowns.
