MADISON, NJ -- Madison scored three runs in the fourth inning and withstood a sixth-inning rally by Union to defeat the Farmers, 6-3, in the semifinal round of the High School Developmental League summer baseball playoffs on Monday night. Murphy plays for the United States on the women's soccer team, and is heading to France as a member of the 2024 Olympic team. The Verona High School football team will hold its first 7 on 7 tournament on Wednesday, July 24, beginning at 4 p.m. There are four pools set for the contest and 16 high schools will be competing, from Don Bosco Prep to Elizabeth, Mahwah, Montclair Kimberley Academy and more, as well as VHS. NUTLEY, NJ - Another great week of Soccer Camp returns to Nutley's Owens Field next week with Nutley High School Soccer Coach Mike DiPiano. For the past 14 years, DiPiano's coed soccer camp has become a township staple, with many participants eventually going on to play soccer in high school and college. Many later worked at the camp when they were in high school. The program is coed, for young people in grades 1 to grade 8. The cost is $150 for the week, which is lower than many of the soccer camps in the region. Camp dates are July 29 to August 1.
