    3-year-old girl fatally struck by vehicle while crossing street in Harlem: NYPD

    HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) — A vehicle fatally struck a 3-year-old girl as she was crossing the street in Harlem Thursday evening, police said.

    The girl was hit at West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue around 7:40 p.m., according to the NYPD.

    The child was crossing the street with a woman and another child when she was hit, police said.

    The 3-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman and the other child were not hurt, according to authorities.

    The incident happened across the street from Harlem Hospital.
