New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart is an integral part of Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She proved that even off the court when she stepped up to help her team watch American sprinter Noah Lyles win the finals of the 100-meter final last Sunday.

Stewart and the rest of Team USA women's basketball had just finished the game against Germany as Lyles was about to compete, leaving them to rely on technology to catch the big race. According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN, the US players had a hard time accessing the race's broadcast through their phones. Fortunately, Stewart was there to save the day.

"[Team USA] was trying to get on their phones and tune in [to the 100M race]," said Spears (h/t espnW).

"The only person that could get into their VPN and get on their iPad was Breanna Stewart."

Liberty owner Joe Tsai heard the story about how Stewart's big assist allowed her team to witness history and gave his team a shoutout on X.

"You can count on the NY Liberty stars to be the most technologically savvy @nyliberty," wrote Tsai .

Stewart and Team US are hoping to win gold just like Lyles.

After going 3-0 in group play, they will take on Nigeria in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday.

So far in the tournament, Stewart has averaged 20.3 points on an incredible 62.5 percent success rate from the field, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
