    Keyshawn Davis to fight in Newark

    NEWARK, New Jersey (WAVY) — Norfolk native Keyshawn Davis is set to face Miguel Madueño in the ring in Newark, New Jersey at 9 p.m. Saturday.

    Davis (10-0, 7 KOs) has quickly become a championship contender. He took home a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics and is still undefeated.

    Madueño has a 31-2 record along with 28 knockouts.

    “Madueño is a tough fighter with more than 30 pro fights, and I have a lot of respect for what he brings to the table,” Davis said. “I love fighting in Newark. The fans there are special, and I am going to feed off their energy and put on a show.”

    His older brother, Kelvin Davis (12-0, 7 KOs), will also be fighting at the Prudential Center that night against Kevin Johnson (12-3, 8 KOs). That match up is set to start at 8:10 p.m.
