    Two motorcyclists injured in crash on Old Baltimore Pike

    Two people were injured, one critically, in a motorcycle crash south of Newark on Sunday.

    The crash happened at 1:45 p.m. on Old Baltimore Pike in the area of Old Cooch's Bridge Road, according to Leslie V. Antonelli-Hobbs, a spokesperson for New Castle County Paramedics.

    A motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided, injuring the two riders of the motorcycle.

    A man, believed to be approximately 50 years old, was treated for injuries to his head and extremities and was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition. A 52-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious but stable condition with injuries to her extremities and possible internal injuries.

    Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
