NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – Castle football is coming off a season that saw them fall 60-50 in the sectional to North. After how that season ended, their young defense is looking to take advantage of the experience they gained.

The Knights coach, Doug Hurt, has set the bar high for that side of ball.

“They should know the expectations. They’ve seen it done at a very high level and they know that level was not accomplished last year. I think it left a little bit of a sour taste in their mouth,” said Hurt.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Knights will have a new QB at the helm. For one of the quarterbacks in the battle for the starting spot, they know that skill players like Max McCool make their job easier.

“My job is just to give our playmakers the ball. We have a lot of options and weapons,” said Mitchell Lene.

The Knights will get an opportunity for revenge against the Huskies in Week 1.
