Authorities identified the two men who died by gunfire Friday morning at a Newbury Park residence.

Kenneth Migliardi, 30, of Camarillo, died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. Daniel Jonte, 33, of Thousand Oaks, died from a shotgun wound of the head during a suicide, the agency said.

The incident was reported at 6:38 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Jerome Avenue, said Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Dean Worthy. At the time, he said a 31-year-old woman living in the home reported the shooting.

Sheriff's officials said all three parties knew each other. Jonte reportedly entered the home and shot the other man, then shot himself. Jonte was pronounced dead at the scene, and Migliardi reportedly was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

The sheriff's office is contracted to provide police services in Thousand Oaks, including Newbury Park.
