Two Infants & Three Adults Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Maine
Two infants and three adults were injured Friday morning after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route One and Montsweag Road in Woolwich. The Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office said Delores Lake from Woolwich was trying to make a turn onto Route One and “pulled out into the path” of another vehicle driven by Jennifer Therrien from Lisbon.
Two State Trooper vehicles damaged in single day
GARDINER — Maine State Police are investigating two crashes involving state trooper vehicles within just a few hours. Shortly after midnight on Friday, July 19, a Maine State Police Trooper was responding to a motor vehicle crash in Gardiner using his emergency lights and siren on the Maine Turnpike in Lewiston. A 2015 Ford Pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Javier Martinez, of Waterville swerved erratically into the trooper’s lane hitting the right side of the cruiser. The crash caused minor damage to both vehicles. No one was injured in the crash. Further investigation revealed Martinez was operating under the influence of alcohol. Martinez was summonsed for OUI and released pending a court hearing.
