Clouds build for Friday afternoon; tracking rain for Saturday afternoon

The forecast remains quiet. Fair weather is still in control - for now. The onshore flow will bring some late-night low-level moisture through the state which could help in fog development in some areas. Otherwise, I'll call it partly cloudy. Not as cool as the past three nights – lows in the 50s and 60s. Friday is the beginning of some short-lived changes in the forecast. Clouds will collect after lunchtime tomorrow. The continued onshore flow might create some drizzly moments, but nothing soaking. Temperatures will climb to the mid-70s (normal is 82). The hiccup in the forecast is Saturday. Still on track for a coastal system to pass well East of the state, but close enough where clouds will pivot in off the ocean. The rain arrives later in the day. A line of showers and possible thunderstorms will quickly slide through anytime after 2 p.m. on Saturday. The rain is moving quickly so flooding shouldn't be an issue. Grumbles of thunder and a few flashes of lightning are possible, but severe weather is not expected at this time. After the storms, we are back to another sunny stretch of weather from Sunday through the upcoming work week. "
