ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester area has been selected to host three upcoming New York State Public High School Sports Athletic Association championships over the next three years.

The statewide championships for boys golf, boys volleyball, and girls swimming and diving will all be held in Rochester in 2025, 2026, and 2027, Visit Rochester announced Tuesday. The organization said the events would bring thousands of student athletes, team staff members, and families to the area.

One of those championships, the NYSPHSAA boys volleyball tournament, comes to the area for the first time ever in November of 2025, 2026, and 2027. It will be hosted at Roberts Wesleyan University and Finger Lakes Community College.

The NYSPHSAA boys golf tournament will be held at Mill Creek Golf Club in June of 2025, 2026, and 2027. The event will coincide with the NYSPHSAA girls golf tournament at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush.

The NYSPHSAA girls swimming tournament will return to the Webster Aquatic Center in November of 2025, 2026, and 2027. The event was held there in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

“The selection of Rochester and Section V as the host for these three major NYSPHSAA state tournaments over the next three years highlights the community’s strength in venues, community support and commitment to providing athletes with an excellent competitive experience,” said Rachel Laber Pulvino with Visit Rochester.
