ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A high-speed chase in Rochester led to a crash in Brighton early Wednesday morning.

Rochester police officers said they saw a man with what appeared to be a gun in the area of Hudson Avenue and Avenue D. The suspect got into a vehicle driven by a female driver.

As officers tried to stop the car, it sped away. The chase went through the city and into Brighton. RPD said the chase ended at the intersection of Metro Park and East Henrietta Road when the suspect ran a red light, crashing into a car that was turning.

The driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle, a 39-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, complained of pain and was taken to a hospital. The driver in the other vehicle, a 60-year-old woman, refused medical attention.

The man and woman were taken into custody and charges are being determined.
