Curaleaf dispensary opens on Chili Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A ribbon cutting was held Monday for a new large medical dispensary in Monroe County.

The new Curaleaf is now open on Chili Avenue. It’s one of the world’s largest cannabis brands, with 100 locations.

Medical-grade cannabis has higher standards that recreational marijuana. Curaleaf also handles its own cultivation, product-making, and sales. It’s this integrated process that they believe sets them apart.

“The benefits are that you truly know that your product is going to be 100 percent tested, safe, that it’s going through rigorous sampling processes, so you know exactly where that product is coming from,” assistant store manager Hannah Lyons said. “Every product we sell here comes with a QR code that you can scan, follow to a certificate of authenticity and analysis, so that you know that your products are going to be guaranteed safe.”
