CLEVELAND, OH - According to a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the excitement of the Powerball lottery soared in Ohio as three fortunate players clinched $50,000 each from Monday's April 1 drawing.

According to the press release, the winning tickets were sold at Riesbeck’s #14 in Zanesville, EZ Stop & Drive Thru in Niles, and Circle K #5687 in Withamsville, making these locations hubs of newfound luck.

The winning numbers that led to this windfall were 19, 24, 40, 42, 56, with the red Powerball number 23.

These tickets matched four numbers along with the Powerball, securing the $50,000 prize. As of now, none of the winning tickets have been claimed, adding an air of suspense to the celebration.

While the jackpot eluded hopefuls this time, the absence of a jackpot winner has rolled the prize to an impressive $1.09 billion for Wednesday’s upcoming drawing, with a cash value estimated at $527.3 million.

This jackpot, now among the top four in Powerball history, was last claimed on January 1, 2024, in Michigan, according to the press release.

With Powerball tickets priced at $2 per play, the odds of hitting the jackpot stand at a staggering 1 in 292.2 million.

However, the excitement extends beyond individual winnings; the Ohio Lottery has been a significant contributor to education, having contributed over $31 billion since its inception in 1974.

As anticipation builds for the next drawing, the state remains abuzz with lottery fever, showcasing the transformative potential of a single ticket for lucky players statewide.
