WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Pizza delivery driver fell victim to a fatal shooting in West Palm Beach on Tuesday.

The grim incident transpired around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, mere moments after Anderson completed a pizza delivery to a residence in the 1000 block of Douglass Avenue. First responders discovered Anderson at the crime scene, bleeding from his neck and arm. Despite immediate transport to St. Mary's Medical Center, his life could not be saved.

Surveillance footage unveiled a white Honda, its driver concealed behind a distinctive "round hockey-style mask," pulling up alongside Anderson's vehicle, adorned with a Domino's Pizza sign. Approximately four hours later, the Florida Highway Patrol intercepted the suspects' vehicle at Belvedere Road and Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Inside the car, authorities uncovered two rifles in the rear seat and a black 9mm pistol under the front passenger seat, leading to the apprehension of all three suspects.

Elijsha Wingfield, 25, Avianna Kerr Williams, 25, and Marcus Williams, 29, were booked into the Palm Beach County Jail shortly after 3 a.m. on Wednesday. They now face charges of first-degree murder with a firearm in connection to the tragic death of Tommie Charles Anderson III, a 33-year-old resident of Riviera Beach.

During subsequent police interrogation, Wingfield admitted to the shooting, attributing his actions to financial desperation and the disappointment of an absent paycheck.

Presently, Wingfield, Williams, and Kerr Williams remain in custody without bond at the Palm Beach County Jail. At their initial court appearance on Wednesday morning, Anderson's father disclosed that the victim, a devoted father of two (ages 6 and 13), worked two jobs to support his family. Tuesday marked only Anderson's second day on the job at Domino's.

An alternative account of the incident surfaced as the West Palm Beach Police Department received a 911 call at 12:50 p.m., reporting a shooting at Ninth Street and Douglass Avenue. The victim, identified as a Domino's Pizza deliveryman, had recently completed a delivery to a birthday party in the vicinity.

The altercation leading to the fatal shooting unfolded post-delivery, with authorities dismissing any connection to the party itself. Despite immediate CPR efforts by officers and subsequent transport to St. Mary's Medical Center, the victim, a resident of Riviera Beach, succumbed to his injuries.

Shell casings recovered at the scene prompted a brief code yellow at the nearby U.B. Kinsey Elementary School as a precaution during the ensuing police investigation.

This murder has plunged the West Palm Beach community into mourning, underscoring the inherent risks faced by those in essential service roles.
