None of Young County’s schools changed conference classification, but Graham, Newcastle and Olney will each face new district opponents in the coming years.

    UIL released the official reclassification and realignment information this week regarding Texas high schools for 2024-2026, with some changes coming to Young County matchups.

    None of the three Young County schools — Graham, Newcastle and Olney — changed classes, but each school will see some new district opponents on future schedules.

    Listed below are each school’s 2024-2026 class and division, as well as the regions and districts in which the schools will compete in their various sports.

    Graham

    Conference Classification: 4A
    Football Conference: 4A Division II
    Football District: Region 1, District 3
    Other District 3 Members: Bridgeport, Brock, Burkburnett, Eagle Mountain, Mineral Wells
    Basketball and Volleyball District: Region 1, District 6
    Other District 6 Members: Brock, Brownwood, Glen Rose, Mineral Wells, Stephenville

    Newcastle

    Conference Classification: 1A
    Football Conference: 1A 6-Man Division I
    Football District: 6
    Other District 6 Members: Bryson, Knox City, Perrin-Whitt, Vernon Northside
    Basketball District: Region 3, District 17
    Other District 17 Members: Bryson, Garner, Perrin-Whitt, Throckmorton, Woodson
    Volleyball District: Region 2, District 11
    Other District 11 Members: Bryson, Garner, Perrin-Whitt

    Olney

    Conference Classification: 2A
    Football Conference: 2A Division I
    Football District: Region 1, District 4
    Other District 4 Members: Abilene TLC, Anson, Cisco, Hawley, Stamford
    Basketball District: Region 2, District 9
    Other District 9 Members: Archer City, Electra, Nocona, Petrolia, Seymour, Windthorst
    Volleyball District: Region 1, District 8
    Other District 8 Members: Archer City, Nocona, Petrolia, Windthorst
