Three search warrants issued in the past week have led to eight people being arrested on felony drug charges around Greene County.

A news release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office said agents from North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement, a detective with the Farmville Police Department and the sheriff’s office’s own narcotics unit collaborated on an investigation spanning the past two months. The operation came to a head when the first of three search warrants were served on Feb. 7.

The first warrant was served at a residence on Arba Jason Road where deputies located over 60 grams of fentanyl and three grams of methamphetamine, the release said. Thomas Roy Chase, 31, Jordan Tyler Cooker, 32, and William Leo Warren, 47, were charged with multiple offenses.

The second warrant, served Feb. 7 at a Thorton Lane residence, saw deputies seize 17 grams of meth and less than a gram of fentanyl. William Nicky Manning, 54, Katrina Marie Atkinson, 40, and Chelsea Leigh Cahoon, 30, were arrested and charged with drug offenses, the release said.

A final warrant was served on Village Park Drive on Feb. 12. Deputies found seven grams of crack cocaine and a stolen firearm, according to the release. Jeffrey Bernard Joyner, Jr., 30, and Rodrick Rouse, 30, were charged with drug offenses.
