Wynonna Announces Legendary Performance

Country music icon Wynonna Judd is set to make a return to her Kentucky roots as she takes center stage to perform the National Anthem at the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. The historic event will take place at Churchill Downs on May 4, marking a significant milestone for both the legendary singer and the prestigious horse race.

Growing up in Kentucky, Wynonna Judd has long been a fan of the Kentucky Derby, often attending the race as a spectator. Now, she will have the honor of performing the National Anthem, adding a personal touch.

Churchill Downs Racetrack President Mike Anderson expressed excitement about Wynonna's performance, calling her "the perfect artist to set the stage for this once-in-a-lifetime Kentucky Derby." The Grammy award winning lady has been highlighted on multiple stages as both a part of the incredibly duo, The Judds, and as a solo artist.

The mother-daughter duo of Wynonna and Naomi performed from 1983 until 1991 when the latter was diagnosed with hepatitis.  Daughter, Wynonna went on to have a successful solo career releasing more than 20 singles and eight studio albums.
