QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY — Rebuilding Together of Queen Anne’s County, Inc. is joining with other local affiliates in hosting National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 27. Since 1994, Rebuilding Together of Queen Anne’s County has provided no-cost home repairs to vulnerable seniors, those living with disabilities, veterans and families with limited resources in Queen Anne’s County. They provide home modifications enabling our neighbors to live in safe and healthy homes.

“There are no special skills needed except a desire to help others,” says Executive Director Tonya Wright.

Rebuilding Together of Queen Anne’s County’s mission is repairing homes, revitalizing communities, rebuilding lives. They leverage gifts of time, money, skill and labor to repair and rehabilitate homes for vulnerable seniors, those living with disabilities, and families with limited resources in Queen Anne’s County.

Dedicated to ending substandard housing, All work is done at no cost to the homeowners who meet the income limits and other criteria. In the past, typical projects included painting, installing ramps and grab bars, repairing floors, plumbing, electrical, and other areas needed to ensure safe and healthy housing for homeowners.

Wright says the program has made great strides, “In 2022 we were only able to do one project, while last year we were able to complete 12!” Wright hopes this year will be even better, stating that the volunteer roster for the April event is already full, but there are always other events to contribute to.

Volunteers will meet at Centreville United Methodist Church for morning refreshments, a safety briefing and project assignments. Lunch will be provided on site for each of the Kent Island, Centreville, and Kingstown projects.

This is an equal opportunity program. Learn more at www.rebuildingtogetherqac.org or email info@rtqac.org.
