Barstool Nate joined BMitch and Finlay on Tuesday and talked about the Jayden Daniels/Robert Griffin III comparison that has been going around, and they had different responses to the narrative.

For BMitch, he didn’t want to hear that the Commanders new quarterback is a potential spitting image of Washington’s former young star.

“You gotta look at the quarterbacks. They’re different,” BMitch said. “One thing, Jayden is not full of himself, and that makes a world of difference.”

Nate agreed that the comparison doesn’t hold up when comparing the off-the-field characteristics of the two, but in terms of on the field, when thinking back to Griffin’s introduction to the NFL, the comparison is a welcomed one.

“I see nothing wrong with the comp,” Nate said. “Let’s think back to 2012…we loved RGIII in 2012. We were saying the same stuff about him back then than we are now with Jayden. So if that’s the comparison, I’m all about it. the guy was Offensive Rookie of the Year…that’s a great comparison. The difference is, RGIII was eaten alive by Shanahan and the turf and Dan Snyder and all in for Week 1…the whole thing was crazy. Jayden, if we can compare him to RGIII on the field but not off the field, that’s exactly what we wanted RGIII to be, minus the 17 knee injuries.”
