Nicola Land's screams of joy could be heard around the neighborhood when her wildest birthday wish came true.

When thinking about what could make her 50th birthday extra special, her husband, Richard Land, thought what could be better than reuniting her with one of her favorite people: her long-time best friend.

Nicola and Jayne Bradford have known each other since they were nine years old. They grew up together in London, but the days of living in the same town were long gone. Jayne still lives in London, but Nicola moved to Canada, making it hard to visit each other. The last time they saw each other was almost two years ago.

Jayne and Richard got to scheming about five months before the big day. Soon enough, tickets were booked, the kids were in on the plan and the surprise reunion was upon them.

Richard and Nicola's daughter picked Jayne up from the airport and snuck her into the house. Walking into the kitchen where Nicola was, the two women screamed and jumped and embraced. It was the best birthday surprise she could ever ask for.
