TOM Brady has made his Fox NFL debut with a short cameo during the UFL Championship game.

The seven-time Super Bowl champ joined Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt in the broadcast booth early in the second quarter of Sunday’s clash between the Birmingham Stallions and San Antonio Brahmas.

Brady , 46, kicked off his sportscasting career with a joke about his physical shape.

“I can’t go down there on the field anymore,” he quipped after Menefee said Fox was “bringing a little instant offense” to introduce the retired quarterback.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star then noted that championship games could follow many different scenarios.

He also pointed out that the defense had dominated the clash so far with either team yet to get on the board at the time of his cameo.

As one would expect, NFL fans were left divided by the preview of Brady’s effort as a game analyst.

“Tom Bra d y sounding good in the booth,” one wrote.

“He was pretty good honestly,” another added.

However, a third said: “He isn’t built for it.”

And one wrote: “I miss Greg Olson already.”

After Birmingham claimed a 25-0 win, Brady also handed Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez the MVP trophy.

Brady is expected to replace Greg Olsen as Kevin Burkhardt’s on-air partner on Fox NFL’s broadcast A-team having signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with the network.

The two-time Offensive Player of the Year also recently opened up about working on the tone of his commentary ahead of his first NFL game in the booth.

“The important part for me will be how do I continue to just make it fun for people to enjoy the viewing experience,” he said on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast .

“Sometimes I get a little too serious because I see myself as ‘quarterback Tom Brady’ as opposed to ‘let’s enjoy a great game of football Tom Brady.’

“Sometimes, I become a little too critical. So, I’m trying to make sure that I have the right tone.”

Brady also discussed the mindset he will approach the new career with in an appearance on Colin Cowherd’s The Herd.

“There are definitely parts of me that are hyper-competitive – certainly they were as a player and as an athlete,” he said.

“I loved that competition, I relished that competition daily.

“I didn’t give a s**t if it was practice, if it was a game, if it was ping-pong, if we were playing trashketball in the locker room. I wanted to win.

“There’s other parts where I feel like I have matured a little bit and I don’t necessarily have to be absolutely competitive at everything.

    “It’s a little more selective… Certainly, as a broadcaster, I don’t think for me it’s about competition.

“I think for me, it’s about, ‘Did I put everything I could into it? Did I give the fans everything that they tuned in for?’

“That’s really how I’ll end up gauging myself.”
