Woman Offers To Watch Sister’s 3 Kids For 5 Nights & Her Texts Get More Unhinged Each Day

Anyone who has ever raised kids will tell you that doing so is a full-time job. That’s why it can be oh-so amazing when people offer to watch them for you, giving you a break. That said, it’s not always easy to find someone who is up to the task — there is a reason, after all, that parents are in desperate need of a break. As adorable as kiddos can be, taking care of them is hard work, especially if you lack experience. It seems that was the case for this woman who, after watching her sister’s kids for days, was left absolutely exhausted.

Emelia was optimistic at first. She loves all three of her sister’s kids, so she was sure she and her significant other could handle taking care of them for five days. But it didn’t take long for her to realize that she may be in over her head. As a result, she sent quite a few texts to her sister, Christianna Peterson. Some included questions, like the one below, while others simply had her venting over the struggles she was facing.

From texts like “I’m so so so so soooo sad” and “I’ve never been so stressed” to “Why is [your] child drinking the bath water” and “It’s not even funny now … I haven’t slept in four days, send help pls,” Emelia clearly wasn’t having the time she expected.

Christianna, on the other hand, was having a blast with these updates. Seeing her sister experience the joys and struggles of parenthood was quite entertaining.

It’s clear that Emelia learned quite a few lessons in spending so much time with her niece and nephews. For one, there’s the fact that kids really do find the most random things to be either entertaining or annoying.

“The baby is sat in a cardboard box with no clothes on??? What do I do? He’s wild,” one text reads. In another she asks , “What’s up with Lewis and Hallie’s obsession with [trying to] get each other in trouble???? Snitch on each other for the most random stuff.”

Although Emelia did her best to give Christianna five child-free days, the best she could give her was four. On the last day, she politely texted, “Do you want them back pls x” — but her sister didn’t mind at all.

“In all seriousness though, so lucky to have people who WANT to have my kids and give me a break,” Christianna shares in the caption of her viral post. “Can’t wait until next time, Emelia.”
