Cameron Brink Replacement Announced for 3x3 Team USA Olympic Roster

Dearica Hamby was announced on Monday afternoon as the replacement for Cameron Brink on the 3x3 Team USA Olympic roster. She steps in after Brink tore her ACL.

A standout forward for the Los Angeles Sparks this season, Hamby averaged 17.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this year.

Hamby's selection highlights her stellar performance and versatility on the court. Her addition adds depth and experience to Team USA's roster for the upcoming Olympics in Paris, joining Hailey Van Lith, Cierra Burdick, and Rhyne Howard.

Hamby's dedication and commitment to the sport are evident in her achievements, including winning a WNBA Championship and earning multiple All-Star selections.

Brink's ACL tear occurred during a game against the Connecticut Sun, ending her season prematurely despite her contributions averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game for the Sparks.

Hamby's opportunity to represent Team USA is well-deserved as she’s showcased in the past that she is able to perform when the lights are brightest.

The USA 3x3 Men's and Women's national teams are scheduled to compete from July 30 to August 5, 2024, at Place de la Concorde in Paris.
