In Gryfino, Poland, the Crooked Forest is home to around 400 pine trees that all have a peculiar J-shaped curve at their bases. The origin of this strange phenomenon remains a mystery.

Some t heories suggest that a heavy snowstorm might have bent the trees during their early growth, while others believe local foresters manipulated them in the 1930s to create curved wood for furniture.

Monteverde Cloud Forest, Costa Rica
