'Tallest Women's Basketball Player Ever' Turned Heads in National Team Debut

China opened up its FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup campaign with an impressive 109-50 win over Indonesia — in large part due to the performance of Zhang Ziyu.

In her first appearance for the national team, Ziyu recorded 19 points on 9-9 shooting. She also chipped in with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks — all in just 13 minutes off the bench.

Ziyu, 17, stands 7-foot-3 — making her the tallest player in women's basketball.

Ziyu's highlights are going viral on social media after this stellar performance.

Ziyu would tower over any player in the WNBA. The league's current tallest player is Han Xu (6-foot-11) of the New York Liberty.

The tallest player in WNBA history is FIBA Hall of Famer Margo Dydek (7-foot-2).
