Fans Furious After Major NBA Draft Announcement

In what has become a yearly tradition in the NBA Draft, there is mass confusion over where players are going.

Unlike the NFL Draft where trades are announced during the pick and the player is given the appropriate hat for wherever they are going, the NBA does the opposite. Trades are announced after the fact, and players are given the hat of the team that originally owned the pick.

Despite yearly complaints from fans who were hoping they would make the change, this draft is no different than the rest as we saw with the No. 8 pick which turned out to be Kentucky's Rob Dillingham. In a move that many fans thought would lead to Victor Wembanyama getting an elite scorer to compliment him, it was later revealed that Dillingham was in fact being sent to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wolves traded a 2031 unprotected first-round pick and a protected 2030 pick swap for Dillingham. While fans are now enamored with him and Anthony Edwards forming an electric duo, they have also taken to social media to express frustration with the format of the draft and the way they reveal trades.

One fan wrote , "The way the NBA does trades on Draft Night is so stupid. The player has to pretend he's on the team that made the pick, and it's hard to tell who is on what team at the end of the night. Let the team trading for the pick make the selection and give the prospect the correct hat!"

Another added , "I didn't get 60 seconds to dream of Rob and Wemby. How the NBA Draft treats trades is STUPID."

Surely there are more trades on the way, so fans just have to buckle up and wait before they are all in on a player being on their favorite team.
