Boxing’s heavyweight division has been on a roll, with all the major players finally fighting one another. Anthony Joshua , the former two-time unified champion, will face Daniel Dubois for the latter’s now-status as IBF heavyweight champion.

The fight and all-U.K. card in Wembley Stadium, part of Riyadh Season, determines who faces the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 in December. The first fight was to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion, which Usyk won.

Joshua (28-3) is British boxing royalty, holding multiple gold medals and the title of OBE. He's a former two-time unified heavyweight champion, holding gold from 2016 until 2018, losing the belts against Andy Ruiz Jr. until briefly reclaiming them in 2019. “AJ” hasn't held gold since Usyk beat him twice.

Since those losses, Joshua has won four straight, with his last fight being a massive knockout win against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. The 2012 Olympic medalist hopes his redemption story concludes with a win and a chance to hold gold once again.

"I've had Dubois on my mind for a while... The goal is just to get through a successful training camp, and performing on the night," Joshua said. "I feel fresh... For this fight here, with Daniel, it doesn't matter if I'm 35 and he's 15... it's a fight. Age is just a number in this one."

Dubois (21-2) is a former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion. His unbeaten record was snapped against Joe Joyce in 2020 when his eye got swollen shut. “Dynamite” rebounded with four straight wins. The WBA "regular" heavyweight champion lost a controversial contest against Usyk following a debate regarding whether a shot to Usyk was a low blow and never recovered.

The 26-year-old bounced back with a win against Jarrell Miller and shocked the world when he decimated Filip Hrgovic in June to win the then-interim IBF heavyweight title. Now full-time champion after Usyk relinquished the belt, Dubois looks to prove he’s the real deal against a legend in Joshua.

"I'm learning more about myself, as a fighter, as a person... Being the man of the future, I'm aiming to be the best... AJ has been the king for a long time. I aim to be the kingslayer," Dubois said.
