New Bronny James NBA Draft Development is Turning Heads

The second round of the NBA Draft is set to take place on Thursday. The first round concluded on Wednesday, which is a change from previous years when both rounds were on the same day.

Former USC guard Bronny James was not drafted in the first round, but could certainly be selected on Thursday in the second round. There have been several reports linking James to the Los Angeles Lakers, where his father LeBron James has spent the last six seasons, which would make a lot of sense for all sides.

Leading up to the second round there was an interesting development, as Bronny was not in the green room:

This may not mean much, as Bronny is likely with his family, but the development has been turning heads on social media. As previously mentioned, the second round getting it's own day is new, so this second round green room is a first time thing.

The Lakers will select 55th overall on Thursday, and according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bronny James may very well get selected by them with that pick.

While this is far from a guarantee, considering several other teams would have a chance to select James prior to LA's 55th overall pick, it would make sense for there to be an understanding around the league that this is where he is the best fit.

It remains to be seen where James will end up, but it seems like the Lakers are a real possibility with their 55th overall pick.
