Paige Bueckers Made Her Opinion of Caitlin Clark Extremely Clear

Paige Bueckers could've joined Caitlin Clark as one of the talented young rookie in this year's WNBA draft class, but the UConn superstar elected to return for another season at the college level.

Like everyone else around the basketball world, Bueckers has kept a close eye on Clark as she begins her WNBA career as the Indiana Fever's No. 1 overall pick.

Bueckers is impressed by what she's seen from Clark so far in her rookie season, and gives the NCAA's all-time leading scorer a ton of credit for the rising popularity of the women's game.

"Caitlin has brought so many new eyes to the game, and we appreciate that. When people tune in to watch her, they leave the game fans of so many more. I think the game is growing a lot. People are learning about the W and how great it is," Bueckers said. "... I think the rookie class is doing extremely well... It's fun to watch."

Bueckers is entering her senior season with the Huskies as one of the undisputed faces of college basketball. By the time the 2025 WNBA Draft rolls around, she'll no doubt be one of the top prospects in the class.

Clark and the Fever will face off against the Phoenix Mercury in a highly-anticipated matchup on Sunday afternoon.
