Taylor Swift offered a belated shoutout to Simone Biles Saturday after the four-time Olympic gold medalist began her dominant floor routine to the pop sensation's 2017 song ...Ready for It?

Biles is on course to reach Paris this summer after impressing at the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials in Minneapolis on Friday. She was the highest-scoring American gymnast and saved her best performance of the afternoon for a dazzling floor exercise.

Before completing her trademark triple-double move, nicknamed the Biles II after she pioneered the move in 2019, Biles danced to the recognizable instrumental of Swift's song. The 14-time Grammy winner commented on a highlight video of the routine posted Saturday, writing "Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho."

Biles continued this strong start and glided to a 14.850 score on her floor routine, dwarfing her fellow American counterparts. The next closest score came courtesy of Kaliya Lincoln, who scored a 14.150 — this gap of .7 was greater than the distance between

Lincoln and eighth-place finisher Sunisa Lee. Overall, her score of 58.900 exceeded second-place challenger Jordan Chiles by more than two points.

As two of the most celebrated female performers anywhere in the world. Biles and Swift have unsurprisingly enjoyed a few pop culture interactions in recent years. Most recently, the star gymnast's relationship with Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens saw her share the terraces with Taylor Swift, who arrived in Wisconsin to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce play in a December 3, 2023 game.

Biles confirmed to Vanity Fair magazine that the pair did not meet as they were seated in different sections, quipping "and I’m not sure they were exactly happy that the Packers were beating them.” Kelce led the Chiefs once again with 81 receiving yards, but a pair of field goals in the final six minutes from Anders Carlson ensured that Green Bay would ice a 27-19 victory.

Two years earlier, Swift narrated an NBC Olympics video spotlighting Simone Biles' achievements on the world stage and looking to generate excitement for the 2021 Tokyo Games. Biles' Olympic journey ended under unexpected circumstances, facing intense criticism after withdrawing from several events due to experiencing the 'twisties'. But after a hiatus, Biles appears prepared to reclaim her global dominance.

“It felt really good, especially after everything that’s happened over the past year," Biles told CNBC. "I always kind of knew (I’d be back) as soon as everything that happened in Tokyo. So, this time I’m doing it for me. I worked a lot on myself and I believe in myself a little bit more, just coming back out here and starting the first steps again.

“It means the world because after everything that kind of transpired in Tokyo and it took a lot. I worked on myself a lot, I still do therapy weekly, and it’s just been so exciting to come out here and have the confidence I had before."
