    Sandusky County has assorted July Fourth celebrations

    Sandusky County communities have Independence Day activities planned in the first week of July.

    Celebrations start in Woodville with the 82nd annual July Fourth Extravaganza at Trail Marker Park Wednesday through Saturday. The midway opens Wednesday at 5 p.m. On Thursday, a car show is set for 5-8 p.m. and a dance party at 6 p.m. at the front stage. Friday will include a 5k race at 7 p.m. and other evening entertainment.

    Woodville will hold its Grand Parade Saturday at noon and awards follow at 2 p.m. Fireworks are set for dusk.

    Hayes to host annual concert at Spiegel Grove

    An Independence Day concert is scheduled for the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums at Spiegel Grove.

    A patriotic concert performed by the Toledo Concert Band, featuring members of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, will be on the verandah of the Hayes Home from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday. The concert is free. Concert-goers are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

    The museum will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Hayes Home will have tours every hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Clyde celebration set for Friday

    The City of Clyde will celebrate Fourth of July festivities in Community Park on Friday, with most activities between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Beginning at 5 p.m. will be kids crafts, inflatables, live music and games for children including a sack race, relays and water balloon toss. Food will be available. A hitting competition is set for 8 p.m. and the night caps off with fireworks at 10 p.m. over the reservoir.

    Fremont Parade scheduled for Saturday

    Fremont's annual Fourth of July Parade in downtown will start at 10 a.m. Saturday. The route will start on Front Street.

    Also Saturday there will be a Downtown Fremont Car Show on Fremont Street between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

    A concert with Terry Davidson and The Gears will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Fremont Community Amphitheater.

    Fremont fireworks are set to be shot off at 10 p.m. from Walsh Park, but also visible from Rodger Young Park.

    Green Springs parade set for Saturday

    The Village of Green Springs will host fireworks Saturday at dusk. A parade will be held at 3 p.m. with line-up at Green Springs School at 2:30 p.m. For information, call Derek Knieriemen at 419-307-1640.
