The popular daily sports program will return on July 15, ESPN has announced.

“Programming Update: Due to 2024 #Wimbledon coverage across ESPN platforms, The @PatMcAfeeShow is taking a 2-week summer break,” ESPN posted in a social media message.

“The progrum will return Monday, July 15.”

Many fans reacted in shock to the news.

“Back to smackdown @PatMcAfeeShow goes. See ya in two weeks, bruh,” one fan said.

“This stinks!! Was looking forward to Pat and the gang discussing NBA Free agency and NHL Free agency!!!” another fan said.

“This is bulls**t,” a third fan noted.

ESPN is covering Wimbledon extensively across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and ABC from July 1-14.

In another major broadcasting change, First Take is heading to a new home for the next week.

ESPN’s flagship morning sports debate show is moving channels to accommodate coverage of the tennis major.

First Take usually airs every 10 am ET following Get Up and just before The Pat McAfee Show at midday.

It sees lead analyst Stephen A. Smith debating with a host of guests on all things sports, with host Molly Qerim moderating.

This week, First Take is taking a backseat and will broadcast in its usual time slot on ESPN2.

McAfee recently took a shot at ESPN for handing an award to Prince Harry.

The former NFL punter-turned-personality mocked his own network for honoring the British Royal at the 2024 ESPY Awards.

Last Thursday, ESPN revealed that Prince Harry will be the recipient of The Pat Tillman Award for Service.

The ESPYS award honors Tillman, who was killed by friendly fire after giving up his NFL career to enlist in the United States Army after the 9/11 attacks.

“A lot of conversation about Pat Tillman’s name. American hero,” the ESPN personality said on Friday’s edition of The Pat McAfee Show.

“Now there’s an award named after him, as there should be in the sports world because that is somebody who is the definition of selfless.

    “It’s going to Prince Harry.

“Who I don’t even think is a prince anymore.

“See, why does the ESPYs do this sh*t?”
