    Shannon Sharpe Apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion for 'Shame' His Controversial Comment Brought

    Shannon Sharpe issued an apology to rapper Megan Thee Stallion for a controversial and sexually charged comment he made toward her last year.

    The former NFL great turned commentator shared his admiration for Megan in a November 2023 episode, making a sexually explicit joke. The rapper joined Sharpe for the latest episode of his Club Shay Shay podcast, and Sharpe took the opportunity to apologize to her face.

    "For any unwanted attention, harm, shame, embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I wanna say as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize," Sharpe said.

    Sharpe had already addressed the comments last year after facing backlash online.  In a video posted on X, he said the comments were made "in jest" but still took responsiblity.

    “I’ll tell you what. If Meg had any problem with anything that I’ve said, let me take the time to say I’m sorry, I apologize,” Sharpe said at the time.

    The face-to-face apology went over well, with the rapper thanking Sharpe for addressing the comment.

    "That's smooth," Meg said. "Okay! I was waiting for it to tear me up! Okay. I like that. Thank you!"
