EA Sports’ College Football 25 Transfer Portal Details Revealed

Now that we are in July, the day is getting closer for the drop of the much anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 video game. And now the video game developers have revealed one of the games new features: the transfer portal.

The transfer portal has become one of the most exciting features about college football, essentially giving the ability of free agency in the sport. We've seen major programs across the country being altered for the better over the last few seasons all because of the portal.

Now college football fans will be able to do the same thing in the video game.

Here's how the transfer portal will work in the video game, per Bordeaux :

• Portal opens at start of offseason
• Offseason recruiting lasts four weeks
• Final decisions will be mad at end of National Signing Day
• Transfers are assigned an "Ideal Pitch," which will include their deal breaker relevant to their specific needs
• Each transfer receives a star rating based on their OVR and will have a deal breaker that caused them to transfer originally
• Recruiting transfers will happen fast and will need quick decisions
• Four and five-stars will only consider four and five-star schools
• Teams can pitch their school, bring transfers to campus for visit in hopes of closing deal
• Don't be surprised by teams having a light signing day and hammering the portal

College Football 25 will release on July 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
