Simone Biles’ Husband Turned Heads With 'Concerned' Move at Olympic Trials

Simone Biles is heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics this summer and no one is more proud than her husband, Jonathan Owens.

Owens, a safety for the Chicago Bears, watched his wife compete at the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials in Minneapolis. While Biles blew out the competition, winning the all-around competition with a sizable lead, Owens was an avid spectator, dialed into every event and score.

A fan at the Target Center captured Owens in the stands keeping score, a photo which quickly went viral on X.

One person replied , "This is actually adorable. Like he was concerned about her scores and her making the team (whereas every gymnerd knew she was a lock)."

Another fan posted , "We love an attentive and supportive spouse!" One woman wrote , "Watching Jonathan Owens during Simone Biles uneven bars routine last night was everything. That man felt every flip, twist, and turn. That is LOVE. Stressful ass LOVE."

Owens also paid tribute to Biles' incredible performance with sweet tribute on Instagram . He wrote, "No words can describe how proud of you i am baby 🤎 Just knowing all the work that you put in and everything that you've been through, and to still come back and be as dominant as ever, i was speechless."

"I’m so happy for you babe!!!! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷," he added. "Cheers to going to your third Olympic Games!!!!!! Just sounds so surreal being able to say my wife is the best to EVER do it, how did i get so lucky 😌 I love you so much 🤞🏽🤞🏽."

The 28-year-old safety, who married Biles in April 2023, is traveling to Paris to see Biles compete. If the nine-time national champion wins one more medal -- she already has seven -- Biles will become the most-decorated American gymnast of all time.

The Olympics run from July 26 to August 12. The women's team finals take place on July 30. The individual all-around competition, which Biles is heavily favored to win, is scheduled for August 1.
