Triple shooting in District Heights leaves 1 man dead

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Prince George’s County were at the scene of a fatal triple shooting late Tuesday night in District Heights.

Officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) responded to the 3100 block of Lakehurst Avenue at about 10 p.m. There, they found three men who had been shot.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, while the third man was checked at the scene.

PGPD said they were still working to establish possible suspects and a motive for the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince George’s County Crime Solvers or submit a tip using the P3 Tips app.
