Two Franklin County baseball players were named to the inaugural Pa. Baseball Coaches Association All-State teams.

One representative from each of the 12 PIAA districts served on the selection committee.

James Buchanan catcher Jimmy Bell was named to the Class 4A first team, while Shippensburg catcher Troy Chamberlin was named to the Class 5A second team.

Bell was previously named the Mid-Penn Colonial Player of the Year. Bell helped the Rockets (14-8) advance to the District 3 Class 4A semifinals, where they lost to Elco and just a missed a state berth.

Shippensburg advanced to the state quarterfinals, the program's deepest run since 1995, where it lost to District 4 champ Selinsgrove. Chamberlin went 3-for-4 with one RBI in the Greyhounds' loss to the Seals.
