    Coroner identifies man who died at Charleston County jail

    CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal has identified an inmate who died in the Al Cannon Detention Center .

    Lorenzo Trapp, 62, from Charleston, was found unresponsive in his cell around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

    The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) reported that it appeared to be a natural death.

    According to CCSO, Trapp was pronounced dead at the scene after unsuccessful attempts at life-saving measures.

    Sheriff Kristin Graziano called in South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to assist in the investigation.

    SLED is still investigating pending autopsy findings.
