OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – United Way of Northwest Oklahoma has announced an inaugural program to identify, cultivate, and deploy a new generation of volunteers, board members, and philanthropists.

According to the organization, the NextGen Fellowship seeks young, community-minded, business professionals interested in learning about the United Way, the partner agencies, and the impacts of its mission-based work in Northwest Oklahoma.

“We are looking for the next generation of leaders who will become our next board members, nonprofit leaders, and community problem solvers. This one-year fellowship will be an eye-opening journey for those accepted”

Dan Schiedel, Executive Director of United Way of Northwest Oklahoma

Participants selected will attend six meetings and those completing the Fellowship will be recognized at the Annual meeting in April.

“We hope we can harness the talents and skillsets of this next generation to create lasting change in our communities”, said Dan Schiedel, Executive Director of United Way of Northwest Oklahoma.

The application can be found at unitedwayenid.org . The deadline is Friday, July 26, 2024.
