    Andre Drummond.

The NBA free agency period opened on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. Since then, teams around the league have rapidly moved to improve their rosters.

Paul George's move to the Philadelphia 76ers was the headline free-agency deal. Klay Thompson's sign-and-trade to the Dallas Mavericks was a close second. However, a string of other additions have been far less publicized but could have a big impact on the season's outcome.

Here are five under-the-radar additions in the opening week of free agency.

    5. Andre Drummond (Philadelphia 76ers)

Drummond played a vital role for the Chicago Bulls last season. He will provide size and physicality to the Sixers' bench unit. More importantly, Drummond is a reliable backup who can step into the starting lineup if Joel Embiid is forced to miss time due to injury or load management. Drummond excels on the glass and can overpower defenders in the paint. He will be a significant part of the Sixers' approach for the upcoming season.

    4. Joe Ingles (Minnesota Timberwolves)

Ingles adds another floor-spacing component to the Timberwolves' bench. He can score off the catch and off the dribble or pull up as a movement shooter. He doesn't have the same first step as he once did, but he's a reliable veteran with a skillset that plugs a gap in Chris Finch's rotation. Ingles shot 45.3% from three-point range last season; he will be a genuine weapon off the bench and force teams into tough decisions when sending double teams.

    3. Tobias Harris (Detroit Pistons)

Harris projects to be a solid fit with the Pistons. His versatile font court skills will give JB Bickerstaff a genuine second option alongside Cade Cunningham. Harris had a mixed spell during his tenure with the Sixers and will undoubtedly be motivated to prove himself. Last season, he averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 48.7% shooting from the field.

    2. Alec Burks (Miami Heat)

Burks is a multi-skilled guard who can operate as a one, two or three within a rotation. He can create his own shot, make plays for others and score across all three levels. The Heat have struggled for additional on-ball creation in recent seasons. Burks' addition will provide some insurance for Terry Rozier, Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler. It's a smart addition that plugs a major gap in Miami's overall bench rotation.

    1. Chris Paul (San Antonio Spurs)

Paul will likely become the Spurs starting point guard. He is the first All-Star level talent with whom Victor Wembanyama will share the court. Paul has a reputation for helping develop young talents around the NBA and could help take Wembanyama's game to another level. As a genuine veteran, Paul will be a trusted floor-general for Gregg Popovich. Furthermore, his $11M one-year deal is very tradable if an enticing deal presents itself at the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
