Hurricane Beryl hit the U.S. early Monday morning, bringing with it heavy rain, life-threatening storm surge, and possible tornadoes across parts of east Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Beryl became the earliest Category 4 storm and then the earliest Category 5 storm on record.

As Beryl shifts inland, the storm brings severe weather to parts of northwest Louisiana, including chances for a possible tornado.

Here's what you need to know:

Tornado warning issued for parts of northwest Louisiana

    • Bossier
    • Caddo
    • Natchitoches

What's the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning?
