The Dallas Cowboys are coming off yet another season wherein they reached the playoffs only to go out on yet another early exit. Last year the Cowboys came up short in the Wildcard Round against the Green Bay Packers in a game that they were expected to win.

Being America’s team, Dallas will always have that added pressure to do well at the start of every new season. In spite of falling short so many times, the Cowboys still have one of the better teams in the league, so let us take a look at some bold predictions for their 2024 season.

Dallas Cowboys host the NFC Championship Game

Every year the Dallas Cowboys are expected to challenge for the Super Bowl. And every year they fail to deliver on the promise. Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones has already mentioned that they are ‘All-In’ this year despite the fact that no one really knows what that means.

Yet, after decades of underachieving in the postseason, Dallas will make the playoffs yet again behind the top spot in the NFC East. This is the year the Cowboys get past the Wild Card and Divisional rounds as they host the NFC Championship Game at AT&T Stadium.

Trey Lance makes a case for QB1

The fall of Trey Lance ever since he was drafted into the NFL has been a brutal one for the youngster. The former first-round pick was seen as the next big star in the league no less than 2022. However, injuries have derailed his career thus far.

Lance, who was traded by the San Francisco 49ers to Dallas in 2023 did not see any action for the entire year. Nevertheless, with his ability 2024 could be the season he challenges Dak Prescott for the coveted starting role under center.

    Deuce Vaughn outshines Ezekiel Elliot

The Cowboys’ running game seems to be uncertain at the moment. Ezekiel Elliot was released by Dallas in 2023 who then opted to make Tony Pollard their starter. But, in a surprising twist, Dallas resigned Elliot after Pollard left and joined the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, Elliot has clearly been on the decline.

On the other hand, Rico Dowdle who is number two for Dallas just hasn’t had enough game time to really show what he can do on the field. With that said Deuce Vaughn will seize the day and grab the starting role in Dallas for the 2024 NFL season.

    Micah Parsons wins the DPOY

Micah Parsons has been Dallas’ best player on the defensive side of the ball for the past couple of seasons. He is one of the best pass rushers in the game today and has already bagged the Rookie Defensive Player of the Year Award back in 2021.

Parsons will be extra motivated to perform well not only for the individual accolades but also towards the team’s overall success as the Cowboys try and get past the hurdle of the Divisional round this year.

Trevon Diggs and Daron Bland will be the top cornerback duo

Had Trevon Diggs not torn his ACL just 2 games into the 2023 season, we might have already witnessed the best cornerback duo in the league as part of the Dallas Cowboys. Diggs has grown into an outstanding corner capable of locking down the top receivers in the league.

Daron Bland is coming off a spectacular year in 2023 as he led the league with nine interceptions and set a new NFL record with five pick 6’s. Stepping up with the Diggs going out injured, Bland was a nightmare for opposing receivers and quarterbacks this past season.

Thus, 2024 will see Dallas as the team with the top cornerback duo in the league.
