    Recent Tehama County Superior Court prison sentences

    – Travis Justin Hall – sentenced to six years in state prison convicted of assault with a deadly weapon.

    After a verbal altercation with another person, Hall threatened to hurt the person with a screwdriver, making stabbing motions. He was located by Corning police officers with a large screwdriver on his person.

    – Jason Allen Pope – sentenced to four years in state prison convicted of transportation of a controlled substance.

    Red Bluff police officers conducted an investigative stop on a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle involved in a theft from Home Depot. Pope, who was driving the vehicle, was on searchable post release community supervision. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine in a large quantity, baggies and a digital scale.

    – Benjamin Palafox – sentenced to four years in state prison convicted of sexual battery and dissuading a witness.

    Palafox sexually assaulted a woman while she was asleep in her bed. The woman informed her family of the incident. The family reported the incident to law enforcement, which led to an investigation and apprehension, arrest and conviction of Palafox.

    – Cassandra Marie Mackensen – sentenced to two years in local prison convicted of resisting an executive officer.

    A Tehama County Sheriff’s Department sergeant was in his patrol vehicle then Mackensen approached and threw a baseball-size rock at the vehicle’s window, twice. She resisted arrest.
